Services

ACAS conciliation and employment tribunal work, for employers only.

I act for employers only, across ACAS conciliation and employment tribunal claims. Below is what each stage involves — email me the details of your case and I’ll arrange a free half-hour consultation to talk through what I could do for you.

ACAS Early Conciliation

Before most tribunal claims can be lodged, ACAS has to be given the chance to help the parties settle the dispute. I represent you through that process — dealing with ACAS on your behalf and negotiating with the other side — aiming to resolve the matter without a claim being issued at all, where that’s realistic.

Employment Tribunal — Advice and Representation

If a claim has been issued against your business, I review it, advise you on the merits and the risk, and represent you through to a hearing if it gets that far. That includes handling correspondence with the claimant or their representative, preparing your case, and appearing at the tribunal on your behalf.

If you haven’t dealt with a tribunal claim before, the paperwork can be confusing — an ET1 is the claim against you, an ET3 is your response to it. I’ll talk you through what each stage actually requires as we go, rather than leaving you to work it out from the forms.

Fees

I work on a fixed fee. Email me the details of your case and I’ll arrange a free half-hour consultation to talk through what’s involved and agree a fixed fee for the work you need — whether that’s the whole case, or a defined piece of work on its own such as ACAS conciliation, hearing preparation, representation at a hearing, or settlement negotiation. I don’t publish a rate card, because the cost depends on the complexity of the case and what stage things are at when you come to me.
